Colon Hydrotherapy: What Is A Session Like?

Many people find a colon irrigation session to be quite a comfortable experience. 

An Atlanta colon hydrotherapist, like myself will introduce you to the equipment and explain every step of the colon hydrotherapy session. I will then answer any questions you may have before we begin.

Colon Hydrotherapy Is Clean And Relaxing

During colon hydrotherapy a soothing flow of filtered warm water is instilled gently into the colon through a rectal  tube to cleanse the contents of the lower colon. 

The small amount of water that flows into the colon gently stimulates the colon's natural peristaltic action to release softened waste. 

This inflow of a small amount of water and the release of waste may be repeated several times during our session.

The whole goal of Atlanta colon hydrotherapy is that the removal of waste should encourage better colon function and elimination.

That is why  we encourage colon hydrotherapy to be used in combination with adequate nutrient and fluid intake as well as regular weekly exercise. We would only be happy to make some helpful suggestions in this regard.

As discussed already, while enemas merely reach the first 18" of the colon...Colon hydrotherapy will allow gentle soothing water up into 5-6 feet of the large intestine.

This system is also designed to allow evacuation of the colon during the administration of the colonic irrigation. The pressure, temperature an flow of the water is regulated throughout the session.

This is an advantage that colon hydrotherapy offers over a typical enema. While an enema is self administered, Colon Hydrotherapy is adminstered by a person with professional training.

Did you know that todays colon hydrotherapy equipment can only be manufactured through 100% compliance with strict FDA guidelines?

As regards to the rectal tubes and speculae...we only use the Disposable single-use rectal tubes. Once they are used by a client they are disposed of in a sanitary manner.
